Join Lawrence, Mary, and your Dance Station friends in Albuquerque

Dance Station Junior Competitors

Dance Station students and teachers will be in Albuquerque for two big events next week — and you’re invited to join them.

On Sunday, Sept. 17, members of the Dance Station Junior Competitors, along with Lawrence and Mary, will perform at USA Dance. USA Dance hosts social ballroom dances twice a month for all levels.

Sunday’s dance is 3 – 5 p.m., with a free samba lesson at 2:15 p.m. Admission is free for USA Dance members and $10 for others.

The venue is the spacious Albuquerque Square Dance Center, 4915 Hawkins St. NE. Its north-side location is convenient for anyone driving from Santa Fe. Take the Ellison — San Antonio/Osuna exit just after the Paseo del Norte interchange.

Later next week — Thursday and Friday, Sept. 21-22 — Dance Station students will compete at the 33rd annual Dance Fiesta, at the Crowne Plaza Albuquerque, 1903 University Blvd. NE.

On Thursday are adult rhythm, Latin, and club events, from 2 – 5 p.m.

On Friday, all dancers will compete in International Ballroom and American Smooth, and junior and youth dancers will compete in Latin and rhythm. Those sessions run from 10 a.m.– 3 p.m. (Check the Dance Fiesta website for the latest schedule.)

General admission for spectators is $20. Come out and support your dancing friends!
