Virginia Vasconi, the well-known Argentine tango dancer and teacher, returns to Dance Station this month for a series of tango workshops, private lessons, and a milonga. Dance Station’s resident Argentine tango teacher, Michael Walker, is hosting her visit. While there are few slots still available for private lessons, workshops are open for registrations. Tango dancers are also invited to a milonga on Saturday, Nov. 19 that will feature a performance by Virginia and Michael.

Virginia was born in Córdoba, Argentina, and lives in Buenos Aires. She is a professional dancer and actor who has dedicated herself exclusively to tango for the past 15 years. Virginia created a tango technique that is based on yoga and body mechanics, and is an official juror for the World Tango Championships in Buenos Aires. She has also judged tango competitions around the world.
She is returning to Santa Fe as part of a multi-city tour of the United States through December.
