We want to help kids develop the skills, and provide opportunities for them, to communicate with their peers, and community. We break down the routines and teach technique.

Kung Fu Class with Greg Peterson

There are 3 main categories of training:
     - Forms
     - Partner Drills 
     - Conditioning

     Students spend 25 minutes warming up with forms and then take a 5 minute break. Then we move into cooperative partner drills that reinforce the ideas presented in the forms. After 25 minutes of drills we take another 5 minute break. The final 30 minutes of class is an open workout. I may lead light conditioning, or students are encouraged to work on whatever they are inspired to do. 

     The goal of class is for students to leave with more energy, calmness, and focus than they came in with. 

     The art is called Ving Tsun (pronounced wing chun) Kung fu

Just Dance! is a start-to-finish, nonstop aerobic dance/fitness class which incorporates a variety of dance styles and compelling choreography and is set to popular music.

Intro to Social Dance, Ballroom with Mary
Just getting started in dancing? Our Intro to Social Dance class is tailored for beginning dancers with little or no experience. Each class will introduce the basic skills of partnering (leading or following), timing, and basic movement. We will focus on a different popular dance every week, including salsa, Country-Western, swing, and tango.

This class is excellent for repetition practice for newer dancers and a wonderful way to get started in the world of dance. This is a drop-in class, so there is no long-term commitment. Just come when you can. You can sign up and pay online here, or pay when you come to class. Cost is $15 per person per class.

In this class you will learn the fundamentals of Ballroom dancing including the importance of connection as well timing and how to apply these things to your step patterns. You will also learn how these things transfer to different Ballroom dance styles. Possible dance styles may include Waltz, Tango and/or Foxtrot. This class will focus on Progressive Country Two Step, a fun and adaptable social dance. We will focus on the fundamentals and basics that make up this popular dance. Add in some fun step patterns and you will be ready to hit the dance floor. This is a group class and as such will be expected to rotate partners. SFCC West Coast Swing
West Coast Swing, not to be confused with Country Western Swing, is an adaptable partner dance that can be danced to a wide variety of music and genres. This is a widely popular dance that puts a lot of emphasis on the conversation between the partners. While the leader is responsible for selecting the dance patterns, both partners are encouraged to add their own style and interpretation of music to the dance partnership creating more of a conversation between the partners. This freedom of expression means that no two dances are the same and therefore every dance is a new dance. There are 3 main categories of training:
     - Forms
     - Partner Drills 
     - Conditioning

     Students spend 25 minutes warming up with forms and then take a 5 minute break. Then we move into cooperative partner drills that reinforce the ideas presented in the forms. After 25 minutes of drills we take another 5 minute break. The final 30 minutes of class is an open workout. I may lead light conditioning, or students are encouraged to work on whatever they are inspired to do. 

     The goal of class is for students to leave with more energy, calmness, and focus than they came in with. 

     The art is called Ving Tsun (pronounced wing chun) Kung fu

Intro to Social Dance, Tango with Mary
Just getting started in dancing? Our Intro to Social Dance class is tailored for beginning dancers with little or no experience. Each class will introduce the basic skills of partnering (leading or following), timing, and basic movement. We will focus on a different popular dance every week, including salsa, Country-Western, swing, and tango.

This class is excellent for repetition practice for newer dancers and a wonderful way to get started in the world of dance. This is a drop-in class, so there is no long-term commitment. West Coast Swing, not to be confused with Country Western Swing, is an adaptable partner dance that can be danced to a wide variety of music and genres. This is a widely popular dance that puts a lot of emphasis on the conversation between the partners. While the leader is responsible for selecting the dance patterns, both partners are encouraged to add their own style and interpretation of music to the dance partnership creating more of a conversation between the partners. In this class you will learn the fundamentals of Ballroom dancing including the importance of connection as well timing and how to apply these things to your step patterns. SFCC West Coast Swing
West Coast Swing, not to be confused with Country Western Swing, is an adaptable partner dance that can be danced to a wide variety of music and genres. This is a widely popular dance that puts a lot of emphasis on the conversation between the partners. While the leader is responsible for selecting the dance patterns, both partners are encouraged to add their own style and interpretation of music to the dance partnership creating more of a conversation between the partners. This freedom of expression means that no two dances are the same and therefore every dance is a new dance. Kung Fu Class with Greg Peterson

There are 3 main categories of training:
     - Forms
     - Partner Drills 
     - Conditioning

     Students spend 25 minutes warming up with forms and then take a 5 minute break. Then we move into cooperative partner drills that reinforce the ideas presented in the forms. After 25 minutes of drills we take another 5 minute break. The final 30 minutes of class is an open workout. I may lead light conditioning, or students are encouraged to work on whatever they are inspired to do. 

     The goal of class is for students to leave with more energy, calmness, and focus than they came in with. 

     The art is called Ving Tsun (pronounced wing chun) Kung fu
