Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at our First Friday Variety Dance on May 6. The evening, hosted by Mike, begins at 7 pm with a short class followed by dancing to a variety of rhythms. This monthly event is the perfect place to develop your lead and follow skills and get much needed dance practice in a fun and safe environment. Admission is $5.

Santa Fe Community Orchestra is hosting their annual dance event on Saturday, February 15 at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center. Class taught by Mike Garcia, Cheryl Noonan, and Elle Herrera will begin at 6:00pm followed by dancing to the fantastic music of the Santa Fe Community Orchestra and the Santa Fe Great Big Jazz Band.
The evening will also feature a silent auction and a dance competition with cash prizes! General admission is free; donations appreciated!

Santa Fe Tango’s “Noche de Bohemia” will feature a special twist on Saturday, July 20– a Swango class with Mike Garcia. Class is at 7:30 pm Milonga 8:30 to Midnight. Class is only $5, class and Milonga $10. Santa Fe Tango Members $7. Event held at Dance Station.
Swango stands for Swing (or Lindy Hop), West Coast Swing, Tango, and Blues and is commonly known as a fusion dance. Swango combines the creativity of West Coast Swing with the steamy sensuality of Tango. You will be surprised at how much fun this combination of dance styles can be and how often you can use what you’ll learn. For the milonga, Mike will feature a mix of blues, swing, alternative, nuevo, and traditional tango music – during most of which you can use your newly found talent.
