A hearty congratulations to two student couples from Dance Station for their great success at the USADance Competition in Phoenix.![]()
Doug McClellan, Eileen Tenn, David Sitrin and Cherie Hughes all participated in the event held in Phoenix, Arizona on February 20th. They faced off with other amateur couples in various events in both the Ballroom and Latin Dances. David and Cherie danced the Rumba, Cha Cha, Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep. Doug and Eileen joined Dave and Cherie in all their dances and added East Coast Swing, and Tango to their events. Doug and Eileen placed in the challenging scholarship event.
Over all it was a great weekend, as an observer at the event I was pleased with the couples’ placements and proud of the results of the commitment to their dancing.
Competitions provide such a wonderful and fun way to develop your dancing skills and to really challenge yourself. This summer Dance Station is planning to attend the Colorado Star Ball in Denver where students will be able to dance both with their
student partners as well as Pro-Am, where a student dances with their teacher. I am looking forward to the progress and fun of this upcoming event and am pleased with our couples representing Santa Fe and the Dance Station in Phoenix. Congratulations!

Cherie, Dave, Eileen, and Doug BRAVO and congrats!
