Ask Poppy—Don’t Be A Cheapskate! Support Your Local Dance Venues!

poppy-chiffon_glaring

Dear Poppy,

I work at a local club where a lot of dancers come to dance. Only a few of the dancers drink alcohol. Most of them drink water. I make a living working for tips as a server. I just want to thank the dancers who tip me generously and to remind the others that they should leave a tip even if they are only ordering water.

Stiffed

Dear Stiffed,

You are absolutely right, Sugar. All dancers should remember that polite dancers when tooling around town to various dance venues should always support their dance venues by buying drinks (even bottled water) and tipping your servers. Don’t be a Cheapskate! Support your local venues so that you can continue dancing in those places.
