Dear Poppy,
I have seen some of the best dancers have the worst posture when walking on and off the dance floor or until they get into dance position. Is it necessary to have good posture when you aren’t dancing?
Casual Posture
Dear Casual Posture,
Don’t be a Casual Cassie! When you finish with a dance don’t drop your posture and roll off the floor like a blob. Comport yourself until you have exited the dance floor completely. Once your delicate toe touches the wooden floor you are dancing and don’t forget it, Sweetie. Good posture will become a permanent muscle memory if it is practiced all the time.
