If you didn’t make it to Greece for Kristine’s wedding to Colin, you can make it to Dance Station’s festive, fantastical — and more than a little frivolous — theme party and wedding reception to welcome them home. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27.

Kristine and Colin have a well-known love of fun, and it shows in the theme they chose for the party: “Fairies, Horned Creatures and Ugly Bridesmaids.” What do fairies have to do with ugly bridesmaids? You’ll have to corner Kristine and ask her for the story. Bring flower petals.

Participants are invited to dress as one of the aforementioned categories. (That’s Kristine and Colin in the photo with some costume suggestions.) Here’s a chance to trot out your favorite bad bridesmaids dress! It will truly be a Night to Remember — a Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Kristine adds these comments:
One of Colin’s favorite childhood stories has a passage that goes like this: “One winter night, as he looked at the stars that, blazing coldly, made the belt and the sword of the hunter Orion, a great green meteor went slowly across the sky. The hunter’s heart leaped, he cried: “Look, look!” But there was no one to look.”
In each other, we have found the one who will always be there next to us squeezing our hand with delight in the same exact moment as we cry out, “Look, look!” exclaiming, “I see it, too!”
Join us to celebrate the wonder and magic of our love with us. After years and years of near misses, we have finally found each other, and as Miss Brönte wrote: “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”
Finally, in honor of the sheer amount of time Colin and Kristine have spent together in Home Depot over the 11 months they’ve known one another, they will be doing a brief renewal of their wedding promises at Home Depot in Santa Fe (in Windows and Doors) just prior to the party, at 5:30 p.m. Wear your costume and bring flower petals. And no, they’re not kidding.
