Dear Poppy,
When I go out dancing I don’t know what to do with my purse. I have money, car key, ID, lip gloss, etc. I am afraid to leave my purse laying on a table or hanging from a chair. What can I do,Poppy? I have to carry all of these items with me when I go out dancing to a club, and I don’t think that fanny packs look very sexy or cute. How do I carry my essentials without the extra baggage?
Pack Rat
Dear Pack Rat,
Don’t worry, sweetie. Just go out and buy an extra large bra or at least a couple of sizes larger than your natural self. Make sure it fits well around you so your car key won’t slip out. Just think, now you have two purses that will hold all your essentials. It’s quite sexy to pull your ID and money out of your bra, but don’t get carried away with to many items or you could get hurt.
Dear Poppy,
My dance partner always wears a lot of jewelry. I have been scratched by rings and watches. I have been slapped by dangling necklaces, and finally, bruised by belt buckles. Are accessories necessary on the dance floor?
Battered by Accessories
Dear Battered,
Accessories like big rings, watches, brooches, loose or long necklaces, bracelets, and big belt buckles can be very dangerous on the dance floor and should not be worn. As an informed dancer, you should know what is appropriate and think about what you wear including jewelry and how it will affect your dancing and your partner’s dancing. You should ask your dance partner not to wear these items when you go out dancing and make her responsible by showing her the bruises, cuts, and scrapes.
