Our friends at USA Dance have announced a few upcoming events, including a performance by our own Dave Cremers! For those of you who are unfamiliar with USA Dance, it is a national non-profit organization for amateur social and competitive dancers. The North Central New Mexico chapter, based in Albuquerque, hosts dance parties twice a month, usually at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center on the north side. Here’s what’s on the chapter’s dance card:
Saturday, Feb. 28
11 a.m. — 3 p.m.
Day of Dance for Health
800 Rio Grande Blvd. NW
Free event, sponsored by the Lovelace Health System, with dance demonstrations, no-cost health screenings, drawings for door prizes, heart-healthy snacks, and the Second Annual “Duke City Dance Off” dance competition featuring local celebrities.
The USA Dance Dance Formation Team will perform at 12:15 p.m. The Duke City Dance Off begins at 1 p.m.
