Dance Station staff and students enjoyed a special Valentine’s treat Saturday at The Santa Fe Community Convention Center as they took part in “Let’s Dance! – It Does a Heart Good” fundraiser. The event, which was a great success and enjoyed a huge turnout, raised money for the Santa Fe Community Orchestra and was largely sponsored by Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center. Hundreds of Santa Feans came out to take a swing and foxtrot class taught by Dance Station instructors. They then used their newfound skills to dance the night away to the sounds of the Santa Fe Community Orchestra, The Santa Fe Great Big Jazz Band and Elevation Vocal Jazz.
It is always a pleasure to dance to live music in Santa Fe, and this was the first time for many to enjoy the new convention center. Thanks to Community Orchestra Director Oliver Prezant for allowing Dance Station to participate!
